Will Crewdson's Scant Regard, and other projects

I would like to introduce everyone to several bands. Scant Regard is the first one. The man behind this one-man band is none other than Will Crewdson. As Scant Regard, Crewdson has released eight solo albums. The track titled "On the Warpath (featuring Mary Byker)" is from Scant Regard's latest album, Everything Better Than Everything Else. I'm really loving this one!



His other projects are Rachael Stamp and She Made Me Do It.  Rachel Stamp was formed in London in 1994.  Their debut album, Hymns For Strange Children, was released in 2000, followed by Oceans of Venus in 2002.  In 2015, Crewdson joined The Selecter on guitar, as well as releasing an album with electrorock duo She Made Me Do It, which includes Shaheena Dax from Rachel Stamp.



In August 2023, Will Crewdson began playing with Gaye Bykers on Acid at The Rebellion Festival in Blackpool, England. Billy Boy Byker is the pseudonym he uses for these gigs. Occasionally, he plays at Sigue Sigue Sputnik Electronic gigs.

Throughout his music career, Will Crewdson has played with some of music's most notable names, including Adam Ant, Tom Jones, Bryan Ferry, Peter Murphy, Celine Dion, Billy Bragg, Bow Wow Wow, and Flesh for Lulu. Some other acts are Malcolm McLaren, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Westworld, Appleton, Pigface, Tyler James, Livan, T-Rexstasy, Dragons, and The Selecter. Furthermore, he has worked with Concrete Blonde's Johnette Napolitano, and Tom DiCillo, an accomplished film director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and musician.

He is currently touring with Adam Ant and The English Beat. I will be attending tonight's Adam Ant show. I can't believe it's been seven years since I saw him! To say I'm excited is an understatement. I am also thrilled about The English Beat.
